5: Typography Portraits

This project consisted of three separate assignments all using typography to create a portrait. The first portrait uses typography as shapes to create of portrait of myself. This portrait uses a lot of C's to create my wavy hair and jawline. The second portrait uses lines of phrases to create a full figure portrait of myself. This portrait was fun to do because of the pose I was in. This portrait has heavier lines around my clothing and hair. The third and final portrait uses typography phrases to create value. This portrait is my favorite because my pose is fun and there are really a lot of valued shapes that make up this portrait. I like how the portrait is simple and to the point and believe it really does look like me. Here are the before and afters of the portraits:
